Acne Blackheads Treatment
Blackheads are caused when the dead skin cells get mixed with the secretions of the sebacious glands. They fill up the skin pore making it wider than the normal pore. It forms a thick dark plug on the skin layer by clogging the pores. Blackheads may be a few to countless in number.
It can be a very irritating thing to have blackheads on the face. They are especially concentrated on top of the nose and above the chin area.
Treatment of Acne Blackheads:
There are a few good methods available for the treatment of blackheads.
1. Gentle Hand Squeezing:
This is one of the easiest and simple methods to drain out the black heads. But, it has to be done gently and carefully, or it could lead to further infection and scarring. Before squeezing, the face needs to be washed or steamed with hot water so that the pores widen out a bit. Once, the pores are free, the blackhead can be gently eased out of the clogged pore. If the width of the pore is large, this method should not be employed, as it increases the the chance of further infection and scarring. It is not always a recommended method.
2. Mild Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion:
Mild chemical peels like glycolic acid peels and microdermabrasion treatment can be used if the blackhead pore covers a large area.
3. Blackhead removal Strips:
Blackhead removal strips available in the medical shops can be used to treat blackheads. It needs to be done according to the instructions given in the manual.
4. Natural Method – Home made scrubs:
A very simple natural scrub can be made by mixing oats and honey. Mix a spoon of honey with white oats and gently rub over the face. After leaving it to dry, wash the face with cold water and pat dry.
